The problem with the set you buy through The Disc Channel, however, is that it doesn't have the original narration. It substitutes Sigourney Weaver for the proper British David Attenborough, since the version televised on TDC used Weaver for some odd reason. I think everyone else sells the originally narrated version with Attenborough. Either way, it of course looks great.
I had struggled with this dilemma since I first started wanting to buy the series. Sir David Attenborough or Sigourney Weaver? I based my decision on two factors, one being the price was less for the TDC version versus the BBC version, and two being I could just buy the DVD BBC version for much less and get the original narration. But I wanted to get the best picture and detail for this series which meant Blu-ray and since I'm becoming frugal...well you get the point.
